What is Love Addiction?

Love addiction is the pursuit of love in spite of negative consequences that are unacceptable to the person. There is an intense effort to be loved, sometimes by anyone, and sometimes by a particular person. This can lead to having sex, if it means possibly being loved or even wanted. There may no limit to what the love addict is willing to give up to have the attention of one or more people. Once in a relationship, it can lead to constant testing of the other’s affection or devotion.
